Northeast High School students go wild as Jalen Hurts announces $600K donation in viral video

Jalen Hurts is keeping things cool off the field, for some very excited students in high school.

As a Super Bowl champion and Super Bowl MVP with the Philadelphia Eagles, Jalen Hurts is a bona fide legend to every sports fan in Philly.

The quarterback has already provided fans with some of their happiest moments, but he is now motivated to do the same off the court.

And following one of his recent charitable donations, the reactions Hurts got from the students he was offering to help has gone viral online.

Hurts is using his foundation to donate $600,000 to the Northeast High School in Rhawnhurst, Philadelphia, so that they can get air conditioning.

The QB showed up at a school event on Tuesday to announce the donation, much to the delight of the students in attendance. A video of it went viral, with Hurts also explaining why he decided to help with this issue.

"I can imagine that you guys would like ACs and a little bit of fresh air, too," Hurts told the cheering throng of students.

He later explained his donation, saying, "Watching the morning news, in the fall on an off day. Being from the South, I was very blown away by school being cancelled.

"Not for snow, not for a hurricane, not for a tropical storm. But for a lack of AC. It's a common thing I didn't necessarily think about… So that's something I wanna pay for."

This is a move that will win over the hearts of even more people in Philly. Hurts is quickly turning himself into a hero off the field just as much as he is one on it.
