Eagles WR depth chart: Jalen Hurts likely to be without top target DeVonta Smith vs. Rams

Philadelphia will be short-handed offensively against the Rams in Week 4.

The Eagles ' offense got a major offseason re-design. Through three games, there's still clear issues to be worked out, including health concerns.

With running back Saquon Barkley yet to score a touchdown this season, and tight end Dallas Goedert sidelined with a knee injury, it appears the Eagles' depth will be tested even more in Week 4 with news on lead wide receiver DeVonta Smith on Thursday.

The "expectation" is that Smith won't be available against the Rams in a big-time matchup on Sunday, according to ESPN's Tim McManus.

Here's a look at the Eagles' wide receiver room beyond Smith and what's known about his injury.

With Smith looking unlikely to play in Week 4, the Eagles will be turning to some more unproven depth options at wide receiver, with former Packer Dontayvion Wicks leading the way.

Wicks has established himself as the No. 2 to Smith early in the season, impressing with his separation and catching nine passes for 179 yards and a touchdown. He's likely first in line to see an uptick in targets against the Rams without Smith.

It could also be a good opportunity, however, for first-round pick Makai Lemon to have a breakout game. Through his first three NFL matchups, Lemon hasn't been much of a contributor — Philadelphia has tried to get the former USC star involved through screens, but they've mostly failed, with Lemon totaling seven catches for 38 yards.

Darius Cooper, who caught the game-winning touchdown pass from Jalen Hurts in Week 2 against the Titans , will likely have a bigger role in Week 4, while veteran Hollywood Brown could factor in as well.

NFL POWER RANKINGS: Patriots, Packers plummet

Smith has been dealing with a hamstring injury for two-straight weeks, able to play through it on "Monday Night Football" last week against the Bears , but looking unlikely to be available for Week 4.

Smith hasn't practiced yet this week ahead of the Rams matchup.

The 2026 season is anticipated to be a big opportunity for Smith in the absence of A.J. Brown, and so far, he's been easily the top option for Hurts in Philadelphia's passing game.

Smith's 27 targets are 13 more than anybody else on the roster through three games, highlighted by a 117-yard performance against Tennessee.

Here's a look at Smith's numbers so far this season:
