Kyle Larson Dominates Kansas and Wins Hollywood Casino 400!

Kyle Larson put together a dominant performance Sunday at Kansas Speedway, winning the Hollywood Casino 400 and picking up his second victory of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series Chase.

Larson led 235 of the 267 laps and controlled much of the afternoon before battling Chase Briscoe for the win in the closing stages. Larson eventually passed Briscoe with six laps remaining and held on to take the checkered flag.

Larson came out strong from the start, winning both Stage 1 and Stage 2.

The No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet led 78 of the first 80 laps and continued to control the race through the second stage. Austin Cindric and Denny Hamlin remained near the front for much of the afternoon, but Larson consistently found his way back to the lead.

Larson's afternoon became even more impressive as the race continued. He repeatedly managed restarts and pit stops while keeping himself in position for another Chase victory.

The race finally became a battle in the closing stages.

Chase Briscoe stayed close to Larson after the final round of green-flag pit stops. With 30 laps remaining, Briscoe made his move and passed Larson for the lead.

For the first time all afternoon, Larson found himself chasing another car for the top spot.

Briscoe held the lead for several laps, but Larson refused to let him get away. With 11 laps remaining, Larson closed back in and began applying pressure.

Both drivers made contact with the outside wall while fighting for the lead.

Then, with six laps remaining, Larson made his move.

He passed Briscoe and retook the lead, setting himself up for the final run to the finish.

Once Larson got back out front, there was no stopping him.

He crossed the finish line 0.565 seconds ahead of Austin Cindric to secure the victory. Denny Hamlin finished third, Briscoe recovered to finish fourth, and Ryan Blaney completed the top five.

The win is Larson's fourth career victory at Kansas Speedway and his second win in the first four races of the 2026 Chase.

Larson also earned a perfect 76-point day, leading the most laps, winning both stages and taking the race victory.

Larson's victory continues his strong postseason run and gives him another major boost in the championship battle.

Behind him, Cindric, Hamlin, Briscoe and Blaney rounded out the top five, while several other Chase drivers finished inside the top 10.

Kansas delivered another important race in the Chase, but once again, Larson was the driver standing in Victory Lane.

The NASCAR Cup Series now moves on to the next stop in the 2026 Chase as the championship battle continues.
