Team Europe secured victory following Alexander Zverev's victory over Learner Tien, triumphing 7-6, 6-3.

The occasion represents Team Europe's sixth Laver Cup title and its second triumph in three years.

The event was first won by Team Europe in 2017. The team in blue triumphed 15-9 following inspired performances by Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal .

Neither of these players were the first to win a match at the high-profile exhibition event.

Cilic , the 2014 US Open champion, became the first player to win a match at the Laver Cup when he defeated Frances Tiafoe at the 2017 event.

The Croatian star, who also reached the 2017 Wimbledon final and 2018 Australian Open final, defeated Tiafoe 7-6, 7-6 at the O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic.

The result secured Team Europe their first-ever point at the event.

Cilic also competed in doubles alongside 2010 Wimbledon finalist Tomas Berdych.

The Croatian-Czech duo were defeated by Frances Tiafoe and Jack Sock, 6-7, 6-7.

The result had little effect on the outcome, as Team Europe went on to claim a 15-9 victory.

Following the 2026 Laver Cup, Team Europe leads Team World 6-3 overall.

Federer, a 20-time major champion, stunned Nick Kyrgios at the 2017 Laver Cup to secure Team Europe's first-ever victory.

The Swiss superstar roared back from a significant deficit to defeat the Australian 4-6 7-6(6) 11-9.

Federer was 5-8 down in the tiebreak and saved a match point at 8-9.

"I was ready to go – I had to be. That's what a team member does," Federer said afterwards, as per the Laver Cup website.

"The boys played fantastic all weekend, but we knew it could change very quickly on Sunday.

"The Team World boys have been great, in the doubles especially, and we knew it was going to be tough.

"I was looking at getting ready for a doubles at the very end. I'm very pleased and relieved that we did win the singles and got it done."

Federer won three matches at the 2017 event, picking up seven points for Team Europe.

Federer also defeated Sam Querrey in singles and combined with Rafael Nadal to defeat Querrey and Jack Sock in doubles.

Five years later, Federer played his final competitive tennis match alongside Rafael Nadal at the 2022 Laver Cup.

Sock and Frances Tiafoe defeated the iconic duo 4-6 7-6 11-9.
