Earlier this year, the world was sent into turmoil when a conflict involving the USA, Israel, and Iran emerged . Now, a few months later, another issue has been brewing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

On Tuesday, September 15, 2026, the US Department of State designated Saudi Arabia as a level three, advising citizens to reconsider travelling there. Certain regions of the country are also designated as level four, clearly advising residents against travelling there.

WrestleVotes on Fightful Select now shared a report that claimed that the development has been a topic of discussion in WWE. As per the source, regardless of the location, the Nov. 7, 2026 edition of WWE Crown Jewel is expected to remain in place since WWE has committed to ESPN for that date.

"While one source made it clear that a decision of that magnitude is well above their pay grade, they did note to [WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select] that the situation is a topic of discussion within WWE," wrote Fightful on their social media.

Earlier this year, despite the rising conflicts in the Middle East, WWE made the trip to Saudi Arabia for their Night of Champions PLE. While as of now, WWE has not yet officially commented on Crown Jewel's status, it is expected to take place as usual.

It was also recently noted that Sami Zayn defeated CM Punk to win his second-ever WWE Undisputed Championship because WWE wanted to have a match between him and Roman Reigns in the main event of the Crown Jewel PLE in Nov. 2026.
