‘Not going anywhere…’ Joe Burrow seemingly commits future to Cincinnati Bengals ahead of 2026 season

Joe Burrow is here to stay with the Cincinnati Bengals, as he looks to take the team back to the Super Bowl for the first time in five years.

Burrow led the Bengals to the Super Bowl in 2022, where they eventually came up short against the Los Angeles Rams and Matthew Stafford.

Since then, the Bengals have missed the playoffs for three straight years, and only reached the AFC Championship game once, losing to eventual champions Kansas City Chiefs in 2023.

Speaking to Bengals.com , Joe Burrow confirmed that he has no desire to leave the Cincinnati Bengals any time soon.

He wants to help the team develop a championship mindset and lead the team back to glory while representing all their fans well.

"I'm here for the long haul. I'm not going anywhere. I'm just trying to bring a now-or-never mentality to the day-by-day process.

"If you're not, what are you doing? Attack the day with a championship mindset. The rest will take care of itself.

"I'm just really proud to be quarterback of the Bengals. I'm happy to be here. I'm proud to represent the city of Cincinnati, state of Ohio, the Brown family. I'm just proud and I want to make everybody else proud, too."

Burrow has also taken on more of a leadership role with the team during the training camp, trying to lead the team on all fronts.

"I've been pushed to do that in the past. Not necessarily here, but just in my football life," Burrow said.

"I've tried it before, and it's not really for me. But as I've grown and matured, I just think you have to be able to do it at some points, and you can't be so bad at it when you have to do it."

The Bengals will have to overcome a tough AFC North group, with the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers also trying to reach the Super Bowl this year.

If Burrow can allow the Bengals to top the group, they will have a strong chance of making a big run in the playoffs.
