Dexter Lawrence has completely changed Bengals' defense, per Jeremiah

Daniel Jeremiah shared praise of Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence on the "Move the Sticks" podcast , insisting that Lawrence has quickly changed the narrative about the team's defense early in the season.

The Enquirer's Kelsey Conway wrote that, as Jeremiah suggested, Lawrence's impact went beyond the stat sheet.

"Three tackles, a TFL and a quarterback hit doesn't tell the story," Jeremiah said. "This was just utter dominance. Like he's in a tilted nose a lot, so lined up right over the center. You'll see him just stack doubles. You can't move him. They try and run outside zone to each side. He beats the cutoff block each time, including on one was … a fourth down . He gets a tackle for loss there."

"They couldn't block him the entire game in the run game," Jeremiah continued. "It's just a wall in there, and then when you get into the pass rush stuff, you see a snatch where he just presses out and then just snatches to the ground. You see steady pocket push and you just think okay, it's all power. It's just this big guy who's almost 400 pounds. I gotta brace for power and then all of a sudden he hits you with a little club swim move and you're like, 'What the heck did that come from?'"

"He gets a pressure on a loop stunt as big as he is," Jeremiah added. "So he was all over the place and then my favorite maybe of all he zone-drops out and he's in like the middle of the field and almost gets his hand on a football. That is a very large man doing things like that. There's a very select club of guys that have that size and skillset."

"These guys are so hard to find and he has completely changed this Bengals' defense," Jeremiah concluded. "It looks like Cincinnati and Baltimore (are) headed towards a collision and who's better equipped to help you as a player against Derrick Henry and then also to be able to collapse the pocket against Lamar Jackson like Dexter Lawrence is kind of the perfect thing for them to match up with the Baltimore Ravens , so I'm looking forward to those in the future."

The Bengals shared video of a miked-up Lawrence during the team's Week 2 win , screaming to the Texans , "You're blessed to be on this field with me. You're blessed!"
