Broncos elevate 2 players from practice squad ahead of Cardinals game
The Broncos elevated two players from their practice squad ahead of Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
The Denver Broncos are calling up two reinforcements from the practice squad ahead of a Week 7 showdown with the Arizona Cardinals .
Denver elevated cornerback Sean Fresch and safety Taylor Rapp from the practice squad to the game-day roster for Week 7, the team announced. Both players will revert back to the practice squad on Monday.
With safety Talanoa Hufanga ( ankle ) ruled out this week and cornerback Pat Surtain ( ankle ) questionable, Fresch and Rapp will provide more depth in the secondary.
NFL clubs can elevate up to two players from the practice squad to the game-day roster each week, and those players do not have to clear waivers to return to the practice squad after the game. However, there is a limit of three elevations per player each season. This marks Fresch's third and final elevation and Rapp's second.
Sunday's game (2:05 p.m. MT) will be regionally televised on CBS ( view the TV broadcast map ). Denver is considered a road favorite going into the game.
