Titans roster announced for 2026 season after NFL cut day

The Tennessee Titans have announced their initial 53-man roster ahead of the start of the 2026 NFL season , though plenty is still subject to change.

The Titans trimmed their active roster down to 53 players from the 91 men it stood at throughout training camp on Aug. 30 in accordance with the NFL deadline. Most prominently, the Titans parted ways with quarterback Will Levis , a one-time starter who'd been groomed to be the Titans' quarterback of the future in 2023-24 before being benched and replaced. Other prominent players who didn't make the cut for the Titans include guard Cordell Volson, wide receiver K.J. Osborn and DE Malik Herring.

Just because the Titans are at 53 players now doesn't mean the roster is set in stone. The Titans still sit at No. 4 in the waiver order and can put in claims to pick up waiver-eligible players who were released on Aug. 30. The deadline to put in claims is noon CT on Aug. 31, and anyone who the Titans are awarded via waivers will have to be signed directly to the active roster.
