New York Jets' wide receiver room is getting healthier. Tim Patrick returned to the starting lineup in Week 5 after missing the first four games with a groin injury. Adonai Mitchell , who has missed the past three games, recently underwent a "small procedure" on his hand to repair an injured finger and is considered week-to-week. Omar Cooper Jr. is eligible to return this week after missing the past month with a high-ankle sprain.
The New York Jets see 1st-round pick return to practice
During Wednesday's press conference, Aaron Glenn provided a positive injury update on Omar Cooper Jr. , as reported by Antwan V. Staley of The New York Daily News. Cooper will return to practice, effectively opening his 21-day practice window in the process. He has three weeks to practice with the team before he becomes eligible to return to the active roster. If the rookie isn't activated by Wednesday, November 4, he will revert to season-ending injured reserve.
The Jets will likely give Cooper the entire week of practice to ultimately determine whether he will play against the Patriots.
