Liam Scales provided a timely second-half goal to draw Celtic level in their Premiership clash with Dundee United.

But it was still a frustrating night for the Hoops who weren't able to find a third goal on the night and had to be content with a share of the spoils after the game finished 2-2.

Camilo Duran gave Celtic the lead, but two quickfire goals from the visitors put them in front at the break.

Scales headed home from a Jota cross on 64 minutes, but despite laying siege to the Dundee United goal, they couldn't find a winner.Speaking to CelticPlayer after the game, the Irishman said: "I think we started the game quite well and then had a sloppy 10-15 minutes.

"We've dropped two points because of that, so it's disappointing, but I think we showed a lot of character in the second half to take control of the game.

"The ball just didn't drop for us at certain times in the box to go and finish the game off and get that winner."

The equaliser came from a quick corner, with Jota, on as a second-half substitute, firing in a dangerous ball which Scales met perfectly, steering his header beyond the Dundee United keeper.

And the defender is delighted to see the Portuguese winger back and playing an important role for the team.

"It's brilliant to have him back," he said. "You could tell how eager he is to play and to create and go by people.

"He really looks sharp and he's going to be massive for us now because we have so many games and we're going to need everyone and he's going to play a big part hopefully."
