FPL: Justin a great differential pick?

Leeds have teamed up with Fantasy Football Scout to help bring you hints, tips and advice during the 2026/27 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season.

Scout will be using their expertise to provide advice and gameweek tips which should prove useful in ensuring you win your mini-leagues.

Jayden Bogle (£4.5m) was Leeds' top FPL points scorer in Gameweek 3. The full-back scored and picked up all three bonus points in the draw away at Brighton & Hove Albion. The defender also registered the four clean sheet points as he was substituted ahead of the Seagulls' goal.

Bogle has now returned 22-points in the opening three matches of the season. He is the fourth highest scoring defender in the game, with only the Hull defenders, who have kept three clean sheets, out scoring him. The 26-year-old is currently averaging 7.3 points per start in FPL, making him incredible value for money.

Midfielder Tanaka Ao (£4.9m) made his first Premier League start of the season in that encounter on the south coast. The Japanese international assisted Bogle's goal, meaning that he returned five points in Gameweek 3.

Defensive trio James Justin (£4.5m), Tarik Muharemović (£5.0m) and Nico Elvedi (£4.5m) all achieved the defensive contributions threshold in Gameweek 3. All three were rewarded with the two additional Defensive Contribution points in the game as a result. Justin and Elvedi registered 10 defensive contributions each, the exact number needed to receive the additional points. Muharemović registered an impressive 13 defensive contributions.

Defender Justin has made an excellent start to the season and has already shown the potential for returns at both ends of the pitch.

Only Bogle and Anton Stach (£6.0m) have registered more FPL points than the England international in the Leeds team so far this season. Justin's 16 points have come from a clean sheet, two lots of Defensive Contribution points, two bonus points as well as six appearance points.

Over the course of the opening three matches, the versatile full-back has registered 30 defensive contributions. This is 13th across all of the defenders in the game. In the Leeds team, only Muharemović has made more with 39.

Justin has also shown attacking threat in the opening three weeks of the season. The defender has supplied five crosses, only Stach and Harry Wilson (£6.4m) have crossed the ball more in the Leeds team. He has also had three shots, of which two have been on target, and he has created a chance for his Leeds teammates.

Crystal Palace's Tyrick Mitchell (£4.5m) was the top scorer in Gameweek 3. Mitchell scored twice and registered two bonus points on his way to a 15-point return in FPL. The budget-friendly left-back registered just one-point more than Leeds' own Bogle who was the second highest scorer with 14.

Liverpool's Alexander Isak (£9.0m) had been a popular sell with FPL managers heading into Gameweek 3. Over 260,000 managers sold the forward and he punished them with 13 points courtesy of his two goals and all three bonus points. Isak's teammate Cody Gakpo (£7.1m) also had a good week. Gakpo assisted both of Isak's goals for an 11-point FPL haul. The Dutch forward is currently the top scoring player in the game.

Like Gakpo, Brentford's Vitaly Janelt (£5.0m) also registered 11-points in Gameweek 3. Janelt scored and registered 12 defensive contributions which was enough to earn him the extra two Defensive Contribution points. He now has two goals, four Defensive Contribution points, a clean sheet point and three bonus points in the opening weeks of the season. The only team he failed to return against was the Whites!
