Pistons fans chant ‘f*** Embiid’ after technical foul on Tolu Smith

The Philadelphia 76ers earned their eighth win of the season at Little Caesars Arena against the Detroit Pistons . The game finished 112-106 in what was a close affair throughout the night, as Jaylen Brown led the way for Philadelphia with 30 points, with Joel Embiid adding a double-double of 26 points and 15 rebounds.

As a matter of fact, Embiid even had a major scuffle with Detroit's Tolu Smith in the second quarter, with around 1:25 remaining on the clock. The 76ers' star initially struck Smith with an elbow to the chest, as the Pistons' star responded by swatting the ball away. The altercation eventually led to the Pistons supporters responding with chants of 'f*** Embiid,' per a post on X by ClutchPoints.

After the incident, Embiid responded by getting involved in a shoving match, which concluded with an almost full-blown scuffle. The 2023 MVP was assessed a technical foul and was seen smiling and waving to the Detroit supporters.

Needless to say, Philadelphia found enough to improve to 8-1 for the season. LeBron James also added a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds, and also had eight assists on the night. Brown, who was undoubtedly the star of the show, also had seven rebounds and shot 11-19 from the field.

The Pistons endured a slow start to the game and were down by 14 points at the end of the first half. Duncan Robinson was their top-scorer with 27 points, which included seven three-pointers on 11 attempts.

Cade Cunningham added 26 and also had 11 assists and seven rebounds, but it was to no avail as Philadelphia had the star power to consolidate their position at the top of the Eastern Conference. The Pistons, meanwhile, dropped to 6-2 for the season but continue as the No. 2 seed. Philadelphia will now travel to Cleveland to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers, while will look to return to winning ways when they host the Los Angeles Lakers next.
