Luka Doncic looked like he was on another level in the first half against the Sacramento Kings, but one moment towards the end will lead to fans worrying.

The Los Angeles Lakers destroyed the Sacramento Kings 127-100 in their preseason clash. Luka Doncic led the way, scoring 21 points in 16 first-half minutes. His performance included back-to-back three pointers, and gave fans plenty of reasons to be excited.

It is a big season for Doncic. He is officially the main man in LA after LeBron James' departure, and he needs to live up to that responsibility. While his actual play showed that he is ready, there was a moment in the clash which showed that his body might not be.

Luka Doncic was seen limping on the court in the final minutes of the first half

The Slovenian superstar was done for the evening at the half. The Lakers essentially emptied their bench for the second part of the game. Leaving Doncic in for longer would have almost seemed unfair to the Kings. He was helping the Lakers casually run up the score in the second quarter.

While the takeaways from his performance were all largely positive, there was one hiccup right at the end. In recent years, Luka has become a bit injury-prone. As the first half came to an end, he was spotted limping quite heavily, which is certainly concerning for fans of the team.

Luka is now in his prime on arguably the NBA's biggest franchise. The clock is ticking for him to get some major accolades before people start losing faith in his ability to maximise his generational talent. Health is the only thing which is likely to stop him, making this a problem.

Doncic has hobbled on the court various times in the past. Anyone who watches him knows that Luka often looks banged up when he plays. Lakers fans will certainly be hoping it was just a painful hit and nothing more. If he does get injured for whatever reason, it will be the end of the Lakers' aspirations this year.
