NFL Injury Report, Week 7: Latest news, updates for Davante Adams, Mike Evans, Lamar Jackson, more players
We go over the Week 7 NFL injury report, providing updates and fantasy football analysis.
We're almost at the midway point of 2026 and it feels like the injury report is stabilizing a bit. We had a slew of injured players pop up early in the season, and while the report this week feels lighter, we still have plenty of players to monitor for fantasy football. Let's go over all the latest news and updates for the Week 7 NFL injury report.
Jalen Hurts, PHI (blood clots) — Reportedly out for season
Jackson : The Ravens QB has missed the past two games due to an ankle injury. Tyler Huntley has filled in and the offense has mostly been a mixed bag — good result in Week 5 against the Falcons, rough one against the Browns this past week. Jackson should have a shot at returning this week against the Bengals, providing a nice boost to the offense overall, most notably WR Zay Flowers and TE Mark Andrews.
Hurts : Reports came out Monday morning that the Eagles QB is expected to miss the rest of season as he works to recover from blood clots in his lungs. With Hurts sidelined, Philly turned to Tanner McKee in the loss to Carolina in Week 6. He finished with 215 yards and one TD for 12.6 fantasy points. Fortunately, he was able to keep DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert afloat for fantasy managers, but the upside is clearly lacking. Saquon Barkley's eventual return will help and the Eagles have a pretty soft schedule until later in the year. Still, i t's going to be tough to trust this unit for fantasy moving forward .
Mayfield : Tampa Bay may be getting its starter back in the fold soon. Reports over the weekend suggest Mayfield could be back in Week 7 against the Panthers. Mayfield pushed to play this past week in the loss to Pittsburgh, but Jalon Daniels got another start, finishing with 164 yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs and 39 rushing yards. Similar to the Eagles' situation, the Bucs' offensive upside is capped with a backup QB. Once Mayfield returns we can reassess things, considering the team didn't look great early in the season.
Jacory Croskey-Merritt, WAS (groin) — Placed on IR
Jordan Mason, RB, MIN (thumb) — Could come off IR this week
Josh Jacobs, GB — Off the Commissioner's Exempt List
Zach Charbonnet, SEA (knee) — Could come off PUP list this week
Barkley : Philly's lead back has been out the past two games nursing a hamstring injury. The Eagles desperately need his services given Hurts is not expected to be back this season. With Barkley (and Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley out), the Eagles turned to Dameon Pierce, who got all the work out of the backfield in Week 6 against the Panthers. He finished with just 35 yards on 12 carries, but scored a TD (13 fantasy points) to get home for managers. If Barkley remains out, Pierce won't be a bad flex play against Dallas in Week 7. If Barkley is back, expect a heavy workload with McKee under center.
Love : The rookie was ruled out for Week 6. With Love still feeling the effects of an ankle injury, the Cardinals are clearly being cautious with the first-round back. With Love sidelined, Arizona turned to Tyler Allgeier and Bam Knight against the Rams on Sunday. The duo combined for 32 carries, three catches and 146 total yards (28 receiving). Knight was the more effective rusher with 80 yards on the ground. He's going to be a trendy pickup this week, though we could see Love back in Week 7 against the Broncos. If Love remains out, both Knight and Allgeier are flex plays at best.
Davante Adams, LAR (hamstring) — Out 6-10 weeks
Mike Evans, SF (Achilles) — Expected to miss some time
Terry McLaurin, WAS (knee) — Out for the year after tearing his patellar tendon
Romeo Doubs, NE (shoulder) — Placed on IR
Tank Dell, HOU (knee) — On track to return Week 7
Evans : The veteran wideout was forced to exit MNF against the Commanders with Achilles soreness and did not return . He posted three catches on five targets for 94 yards before exiting. The Niners are also down Deebo Samuel Sr., among other WRs already out. Evans is going for more testing but the expectation is he'll miss some time. The 49ers face the Falcons in Week 7 before the Week 8 bye. If Evans is out, expect Kyle Shanahan to use Christian McCaffrey, Kaelon Black and George Kittle primarily. WRs Jordan Watkins, Jacob Cowing and Brandin Cooks split snaps on MNF. None of them did much and it would be tough to predict if any of them would provide fantasy value outside of a weak flex option in deep PPR formats.
McLaurin : Terry suffered a scary injury, and the worst was confirmed on Tuesday when it was reported he tore his patellar tendon, ending his 2026 season. He was carted off during MNF against the Niners due to the injury. With McLaurin out, the Commanders are set to focus the passing game on Stefon Diggs, Chig Okonkwo and rookie Antonio Williams. Treylon Burks also figures to get more snaps/targets; he had 4-66-0 on Monday. Williams and Okonkwo are proactive pickups off the waiver wire for Week 7 despite Washington being on bye.
Adams : Rams head coach Sean McVay told reporters on Monday afternoon that Adams is expected to miss 6-10 weeks due to a ruptured hamstring . Adams is set to undergo surgery on his hamstring. It's a tough break for the Rams, who are already struggling at 2-4 this season. Puka Nacua has always thrived with Adams off the field as L.A. likes using 13-personnel often. Nacua was already elite for fantasy but we could see ceiling games more often now. Tight ends Tyler Higbee and Terrance Ferguson (currently on IR) aren't bad adds off the waiver wire, while Konata Mumpfield is a risky flex option. Be on the lookout for the Rams to potentially add a wideout via trade as well.
Warren : The Colts added Warren to the injury report later in Week 6 and he was ruled out for the loss to Tennessee. As a result, Indy went with a three-man rotation at TE, split between Mo-Alie Cox, Drew Ogletree and Will Mallory. Cox caught a goal-line TD pass while Mallory had two catches for 20 yards. Daniel Jones and the passing game continue to struggle, so even when Warren is back, he's more of a low-end TE1 who is TD dependent.
