Alex Peixeiro seals Santos win in Cascavel

Santos had a weekend of victories both on the field and on the track. Last Sunday (13), driver Alex Peixeiro, who represents Santos FC in Fórmula Truck, finished in first place in the 7th round of the competition at the Cascavel International Raceway, in Paraná.

Previously, Alex had already reached the podium in other races this season, and now he makes his mark by securing his first victory.

In a weekend full of challenges on the track, the Santos driver had to start from 17th on the grid and fight his way back through the field. "We made several changes and, thank God, they worked very well. So by the end of the weekend, the truck was practically perfect. We're very happy that this was our first win. We already had trophies for second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth place, and first place was the one we were missing," Alex said.

Santos fans were also there to show their support. Held in Paraná, the round drew several supporters to the stands cheering for the black-and-white driver.

"We're creating a culture of fans going to the racetracks wearing Santos shirts. We've already done campaigns, giveaway draws, raffles with my products and with Santos FC products. We want to do more, in a cultural way. And we're planting that seed. These fans are amazing, and it's really great to see Santos supporters sharing the same passion," he added.

The 8th round of Fórmula Truck will take place on October 9, 10 and 11 in Tarumã, Rio Grande do Sul.
