VIDEO: Lake View Chiefs reflect on big win on the road in 2026 season opener

SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) — The Lake View Chiefs celebrated a 41-19 non-district win on the road against Fort Stockton this past Friday in the 2026 season opener.

Senior quarterback Chris Alvizo and the Chiefs' offense had a strong performance, in addition to Lake View's defense.

The Chiefs will be eyeing a 2-0 start when they host the Snyder Tigers in the home opener at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4 at San Angelo Stadium.

We caught up with longtime Lake View head coach Hector Guevara on Monday.
