REPORT: Tosin Adarabioyo transfer fee just £7m

Tosin Adarabioyo may or may not be as good a 4th/5th central defender as Kevin Danso, but he sure is coming to us on a decent deal. Fabrizio Romano (sighhhhhhh) is reporting that Tosin will be joining Spurs for a fee of just £7 plus add-ons.

Now, the "plus add-ons" is doing a lot of work here and there's a lot we don't know about what that means and how easily achievable they are. But considering Kevin Danso cost £21m a couple of years ago, £7m makes me reconsider this transfer… slightly. To be clear, I don't really rate Adarabioyo that much and don't think he's as good a defender as Danso — and Danso is our 4th/5th CB remember — but I can't really argue that much with the price. What I hope is that Tosin isn't priced to sell because Chelsea are that desperate to get rid of him because he flat out sucks, but I guess we're going to find that out pretty soon no matter what!

Do I still like this deal? No. Is it as bad a deal as I first thought? Also no. I'll have to hold those two things in tension for a while.
