A new concern emerges for the Chicago Bears heading into their Week 4 battle against the New York Jets on Sunday at Soldier Field.

Chicago released its latest injury report Thursday, and quarterback Caleb Williams is still unable to practice.

That's not entirely surprising, as he continues to deal with a hamstring injury that forced him to miss Week 3's game against the Philadelphia Eagles, but the sudden appearance of running back D'Andre Swift on the injury report due to a knee issue may sound alarming.

Swift has been instrumental to the early-season success of the Bears. He had an outstanding season debut in Chicago's 59-37 Week 1 shootout win over the Carolina Panthers, rushing for 124 yards and three touchdowns.

The former Georgia Bulldogs star tailback was much quieter in Week 2's 9-3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings at home, with 45 receiving yards and zero touchdowns on 16 carries, before recording 84 rushing yards with no scores on 20 carries in Chicago's 27-7 victory over the Eagles at home.

The Bears still have one more day of practice left before taking on New York. Friday's practice session can be very telling of what Swift's status will be for Sunday's game.

An absence by Swift in Week 4 could mean a whole lot more work for Kyle Monangai.

Swift leads the Bears this season with 253 rushing yards to go with three touchdowns on 54 carries, while Monangai is right behind him with 178 rushing yards and a touchdown on 30 rushing attempts.

As a team, Chicago is leading the league entering Week 4 with an average of 184.3 rushing yards per game.
