Lorne Bickley continued his goalscoring form as he scored twice in Jersey Bulls 4-2 win over Ascot United at Springfield.

The win, which extended Jersey Bulls' unbeaten record in league to 25 matches, moved the islanders up to fourth in Isthmian League South Central.

Bickley fired in Bulls' opener after just five minutes after driving past his marker, but Ascot drew levels just two minutes later thanks to Fope Deru's strike.

But Bickley got on the end of James Sunley's pass to make it 2-1 after 14 minutes for his fifth goal in three games

Jack Lumsden headed in a Jay Giles cross to put the hosts 3-1 up after 20 minutes. while Casey Nixon missed a good chance to make it 4-1 in the 28th minute.

But Toby Ritzema made no mistake five minutes into the second half as he fired home from inside the box.

Chukwuka Uzor pulled a goal back for the visitors with 13 minutes left with a controlled finish from a chipped cross from the right.

"I thought going forward we were good at times, not as clinical as we could have been," Bulls manager Elliot Powell told BBC Radio Jersey.

"But we're disappointed to concede two again, they're not like us but they're becoming like us, three in a week, so we need to stamp it out.

"It was a really poor second goal that we conceded, so that's frustrating.

"I'm a glass half-empty type of guy anyway, so a 4-2 win's great but I'd much prefer a 2-0."
