Sami Zayn will defend his WWE Undisputed Championship against Cody Rhodes on Monday's edition of WWE Raw, which will take place in San Diego's Pechanga Arena.
At this time, Zayn is scheduled to face World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel on Saturday, November 7 for the Crown Jewel Championships. However, Rhodes will face Reigns if he beats Zayn on Monday.
Zayn has held the belt since Sept. 11, when he beat CM Punk on SmackDown. He's defended the championship once in this reign against Kevin Owens on Sept. 18.
This is Zayn's second Undisputed WWE Championship reign (both were this year). The first began on June 27, when he beat Rhodes (then the champion) and Gunther in a triple threat match at WWE Night of Champions. He only held the belt for nine days, though, as CM Punk beat him on Raw to get the championship.
Cody Rhodes is currently in a feud with Randy Orton, but he'll temporarily set that aside for a shot at the belt. Rhodes is a three-time Universal champion and most notably won that championship at WrestleMania XL in April 2024 for his first-ever WWE world title.
Zayn and Rhodes have faced each other on television a few times this year, with the last match being on July 18, when CM Punk and Rhodes beat Zayn and Gunther in a tag team match at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event: NYC.
This match on Monday has far greater stakes, though, so we'll soon find out who will be facing Reigns on Nov. 7 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
