Nation's No. 4 safety commits to Georgia football

Four-star safety and wide receiver recruit Nick Carroll has committed to the Georgia Bulldogs . Carroll, a member of the class of 2028, is Georgia 's third commitment in the junior class.
Carroll joins four-star tight end Asa Wall and the nation's top quarterback, Jayden Wade , in Georgia's class of 2028. The four-star is a great addition for coach Kirby Smart and company, who have the nation's No. 6 recruiting class in the 2028 cycle.
Carroll is a Peach State product. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound athlete is ranked as the No. 48 recruit in the nation. Carroll plays high school football for Toombs County in Lyons, Georgia. Carroll is ranked as the fourth-best safety in the class of 2028 and the fifth-best recruit in Georgia.
Georgia is not done recruiting in the class of 2028. The Dawgs are also predicted to land a commitment from four-star offensive tackle recruit Koehn Dial.
Carroll committed to Georgia despite having scholarship offers from other college football powers like Tennessee, Penn State and Indiana. The four-star posted an elite sophomore season where he scored 11 touchdowns, had seven interceptions and posted over 700 receiving yards. The Toombs County star is versatile and can return kicks in addition to playing offense and defense.
