Mailbag: Call For Questions

Washington is 3-0 after dismantling Eastern Washington 48-16 on Saturday. Since then, the Huskies have turned their attention to Minnsota ahead of its Big Ten opener.

Minnesota is 2-1 on the year. It thrashed Eastern Illinois and Akron, but fell to Mississippi State in between those contests. Typically, losing to the Bulldogs is a bad loss. That program has been in the dumps since Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott left town. But Mississippi State has one of college football's best quarterbacks in Kamario Taylor. So while a 2-1 mark isn't bad, I think Minnesota is more dangerous than its record suggests.

Saturday evening's clash will be the debut of Washington's new all-black uniforms, and the hope is that the extra energy that comes with blackout games will help lift the Huskies over a talented Gophers squad.
