Winners and Losers from the Vikings' Week 7 win over the Colts

Here are the winners and losers from the Vikings' Week 7 win over the Colts.

· 274 words

The theme for the Minnesota Vikings season has been "The defense will save us", and that rang true again today. The defense once again came to play, leading the charge en route to a 16-10 win over the Indianapolis Colts . With the defense flying around and the offense showing its inconsistency once more, who are the winners and losers from today's game?

Jordan Mason returned from IR today and looked like he had even more pep in his step than before. Mason led the running back room today in touches and yards on the ground. Mason rushed for 68 yards on 15 carries, and looks to maintain control of the lead back role...so long as a certain Colts running back doesn't come to town soon.

Coincidence that the new Call of Duty release is in line with a poor Kyler Murray performance?

All joking aside, Murray struggled with accuracy today, throwing for just a 58% completion percentage on 24 attempts. Murray missed multiple open receivers and a handful of open reads. Murray has to be better going forward, more like the previous two weeks.

Cashman was everywhere on defense for the Vikings today, taking over as the leader today. This one is going to go down as one of, if not the best game of Cashman's career.

It's hard to imagine that Justin Jefferson isn't quietly frustrated behind the scenes. Just four receptions on seven targets today for Jefferson, and the passes coming his way were erratic and often off-target. Kevin O'Connell is an honorable mention for this selection, as the decision not to get Jefferson way more involved is certainly a decision.
