The Detroit Lions beat the Green Bay Packers 20-17 on Sunday thanks to a Jake Bates field goal on the final play. But the officials played a big role in the outcome, too, and analyst Tom Brady wasn't happy about it.

Calling the game for Fox, Brady repeatedly took issue with the penalties, including a roughing the passer call on the Packers that helped set up Detroit's game-winning drive.

The Lions improved to 4-2 with the win, while the Packers fell to 4-3. But several of the game's biggest moments came down to flags.

The Packers were hit with two questionable roughing the passer calls, including one on Karl Brooks during the Lions' final drive as Detroit then went 71 yards in 10 plays to set up the winning kick.

The Lions weren't spared, either. Before that drive, linebacker Derrick Barnes was flagged for a questionable unnecessary roughness penalty after a hit on Packers running back MarShawn Lloyd that gave Green Bay an automatic first down on a drive where they ultimately tied the game at 17.

Brady made it pretty clear that he didn't agree with the call on Barnes' hit.

After hearing that a flag was on the way, he responded, "There's no way," and when the penalty was announced, he added, "Come on, man."

"Oh, he's just turning his right shoulder away from it. That's allowed 99 out of 100," Brady said, via Awful Announcing .

"Yeah, it's a bang-bang play. I know in super slow-mo every little minute frame looks like a lot, but when you're on the field, you've got to pursue that ball," Brady continued. "If he catches it, he needs force to knock him on the ground. He needs force to knock that ball off him as a pass defense. He can't go in there and put his hand on him."

Later in the fourth quarter, Brooks was flagged for roughing the passer for a hit against Jared Goff with 2:40 left, and Brady was even more frustrated.

"No, my goodness, what is that? There's no way," Brady said, via Awful Announcing . "That's definitely not roughing the passer. I mean, you just— you're just ripping through the line of scrimmage to try to get the quarterback on the ground. Look, I love Goff standing there in the pocket, but you just can't keep tacking on 15 yards."

Fox rules analyst Dean Blandino agreed with Brady.

"It wasn't late. They might have said head-neck area, but this is not head-neck area. His head is up. That's teach-tape tackle. That's not roughing the passer," Blandino said.

Play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt added that the call was "certainly not a penalty," and said of Packers head coach Matt LaFleur, "he's calm, but he's got to be losing it inside."

Needless to say, Packers fans probably felt the same way.
