Wisconsin reveals full conference schedule for upcoming season
The Badgers have their Big Ten schedule for 2027.
Basketball season is less than two months away, and the Big Ten revealed its full conference schedule for the 2026-27 season. The Wisconsin Badgers are set to play 20 games, which means they'll double up against three opponents.
Wisconsin's Big Ten opener will come against the Northwestern Wildcats on December 1st on the road, with their second game. Then, after their annual Marquette game, they return home to face the Purdue Boilermakers on December 8th.
Those are the only two conference games before January, when the rest of the 20-game slate unravels.
Wisconsin will play Iowa, Minnesota, and Illinois twice this year. They've got a couple of notable stretches on the schedule, with the late-season slugfest standing out. The Badgers end the season facing Indiana, Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska, and Michigan State in back-to-back games rotating between home and away.
Wisconsin also won't have any extended home or road trips; they don't have a single three-game stretch across the schedule. Their East Coast travel is also consolidated, as they get five and six-day lays following trips to Maryland and Rutgers.
The Badgers do have some fun road trips. They'll take on Michigan State, UCLA, and Illinois on the road, while Nebraska, Michigan, Purdue, and Illinois all come to the Kohl Center.
This should be a pretty fun and testing schedule for the Badgers alongside a quality non-conference group of opponents.
