Texas softball picked up its fourth member for the 2028 recruiting class with a weekend pledge from infielder Ainsley Morvan.

A Louisiana native from the Texas border town of Logansport, Morvan has lots of Longhorns ties when it comes to recruiting. She plays for the Texas Bombers Gold travel ball club alongside fellow 2028 Texas commitments infielder Michaela Landers and Zoey Abdullah as well as 2027 pledge Emree Masaad. Her travel squad also has former Texas pitcher and USA Softball Hall of Fame member Cat Osterman as an assistant coach.

Morvan, a 5-foot-3 left-handed hitter, isn't a slap hitter despite her size. She hammered 22 home runs last season for Logansport High School, which went 22-11 and reached the third round of the Louisiana state playoffs.

Morvan ranks as the 77th player in the Rivals 2028 class rankings. She joins a class headlined by Rivals No. 1 recruit infielder Michaela Landers and Line Drive Media No. 4 recruit pitcher Lauren Schellhammer The class also includes Abdullah, the 61st-best player in her class, according to Rivals.

The Longhorns rank 10th in the 2028 Rivals team rankings prior to Morvan's commitment.

The Longhorns have won back-to-back national championships and will enter the 2027 season as one of the favorites behind returning stars such as pitcher Teagan Kavan , first baseman Katie Stewart and center fielder Kayden Henry. They continue fall ball at 6 p.m. Tuesday at McCombs Field against Texas State.
