Man Utd fans told they’ll now have to wait until after the international break to see ‘unstoppable’ Red back in action

Amad Diallo remains sidelined with an injury he sustained during pre-season training.

According to MailSport , the attacker is not expected to return to action until after the international break, which runs from September 21 through to October 6.

The report claims that Amad has yet to resume training on the grass at Carrington , but there is an outside chance he may make the squad for the trip to face Fulham on Sunday, September 20.

Alas, it's essentially set in stone that he will miss Manchester United's clashes with Sabah (Champions League), Manchester City (Premier League) and Brighton and Hove Albion (Carabao Cup).

After locking horns with the Cottagers, United will then return to action on October 10 with a home encounter against Tottenham Hotspur .

Amad's setback came after he oversaw a busy summer of action with Ivory Coast at the World Cup, where he returned two goals on the world's biggest stage before his nation's Round of 32 exit to Norway .

For United last term, the 24-year-old – hailed as 'unstoppable' by his captain Bruno Fernandes – notched two goals and four assists in 32 league appearances.

He started in 27 games by the end of 2025/2026, but may face more of a battle to nail down a starting role this time around due to the return of Marcus Rashford , who has impressed since being reintegrated into the squad.

Yet, the addition of European action means all players should get their chances to stake their claims and impress Michael Carrick – even Joshua Zirkzee , who spent the entire transfer window being linked with a move elsewhere before United rebuffed a loan approach from Everton on deadline day.
