Ben Johnson and Bears get bad news in NFL analyst's take

Ben Johnson has already worked wonders with the Chicago Bears . There's really no reason to believe this team isn't destined for something great after rounding out the season first place in the NFC North last year.

But, it's not perfect in the Windy City. Johnson, of course, has some stuff to work out before the season really gets rolling. The sooner he does it, the better for all involved.

Josh Edwards of CBS Sports has a feature out on Thursday naming one position each NFL team should look at before the roster deadline has passed.

For Chicago, he wants to see this team work on its secondary. It makes sense, because the team's secondary has been under attack, literally, as of late, when it comes to injuries.

"The secondary has been decimated by injury this summer," he says in the piece. "Safety Coby Bryant will miss an extended period of time and Kyler Gordon, Elijah Hicks and Jaylon Jones have all been watching practice from the sideline."

He adds, "Having said all of that, head coach Ben Johnson may just decide to add another tight end."

The secondary is often a part of the lineup that gets overlooked. But, Johnson isn't the kind of guy to overlook anything. He's very calculated in how he approaches this team and its talent. Either way, don't be surprised if you see Johnson make some bold additions before the roster deadline, and one of those could be the secondary.
