Who should be Maps Credit Union's girls Athlete of the Week?

Every week, the Statesman Journal collects high school athletic performances from across the Salem-Keizer area to nominate for athlete of the week. You can nominate athletes to LBartlett@statesmanjournal.com, and please include the athlete's name, school, sport and any statistics/relevant information regarding the performance being nominated.

The window for nominees is Saturday to Friday evening. The poll closes at 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 24.

Presley Monninger, Stayton cross-country

Dessieux, a sophomore, scored a goal from a free kick Sept. 15 in the Eagles' 4-0 win over South Albany.

Green, a senior, ran a season-best 19-minute, 46.36-second 5,000-meter race for eighth place Sept. 12 at the Ash Creek Invitational in Monmouth.

Herber, a senior, posted 27 kills and 19 digs along with a service ace Sept. 16 in the Saxons' five-set win over West Salem

Hoda, a freshman, posted a team-high 11 kills Sept. 16 in the Olympians' three-set win over North Salem.

Hoffman, a junior, ran a personal-best 19:06.18 for third place Sept. 16 at the Silver Falls Oktoberfest Invitational.

Monninger, a sophomore, ran a season-best 22:38.61 for sixth place Sept. 12 at Stayton XC Invitational

Peterson, a sophomore, scored twice in the Bulldogs' 4-0 win Sept. 15 over Dallas for their first victory of the season.
