Man City Predicted XI vs Coventry: Enzo Fernandez Ready for Etihad Debut

Manchester City have spent heavily, and now Enzo Maresca has to make the signings fit. That is the job. No excuses, no hiding place. After a Deadline Day outlay that brought Enzo Fernandez, Iliman Ndiaye and Ayyoub Bouaddi through the door, City head into the Coventry game with serious depth and a few awkward decisions.

Fernandez is the headline act. The midfielder arrived for a British transfer record-equalling £125m and is expected to go straight into the starting side. Ndiaye, signed for up to £65m, may have to wait, while Bouaddi, who cost £86m, also looks more likely to begin on the bench. When clubs spend like this, places disappear quickly.
