Will CSU and Wyoming rivalry continue through conference realignment?
When do Wyoming and CSU football play again in the Border War? A look at all the future scheduled matchups between the rivals.
The 2026 Border War is the earliest football meeting in the long history between Colorado State and Wyoming .
The teams play Sept. 5 at Canvas Stadium to open the 2026 season. The matchup happens so early due to conference realignment.
A conference has always been shared by the rivals. Until now. CSU is now in the Pac-12 and Wyoming is in the Mountain West. Realignment has seen many rivalries be shelved across college football, but the Border War will continue with a contract signed through the mid 2030s.
The biggest question right now is 2027. The teams don't currently have a game lined up for next season, but the schools said they're working on it in a Sept. 2 release announcing matchups in other sports .
"The two schools are working together to continue the football series in 2027," the release said.
Here are all the future Border War matchups in football currently set by contract.
