Fabian Hurzeler is hopeful Femi Azeez could make his Brighton debut against Coventry City on Sunday, while Georginio Rutter is also closing in on a return from injury.

New signing Azeez missed last weekend's 1-1 draw with Leeds because of a hamstring problem but is set to return to full training ahead of the trip to Coventry.

"Also regarding him, I hope he will be an option," Hurzeler said.

"He will definitely train today with the squad and hopefully everything is fine and then he hopefully is an option for the weekend."

Rutter has missed Brighton's last three games because a foot problem.

"He definitely should be close," the Brighton boss said, however. "He had a small setback but he was on the pitch now, so hopefully he's available for the weekend if nothing goes wrong."

Kaoru Mitoma remains sidelined with the hamstring injury he suffered in May and is not expected back until at least October.

However, Zadok Yohanna is not yet ready to be involved, while Mats Wieffer , Jack Hinshelwood , Yankuba Minteh , Stefanos Tzimas and Evan Ferguson also remain unavailable for the Seagulls.
