The Phoenix Suns lost an important rotation guard during Monday's matchup against the Golden State Warriors . Jordan Goodwin exited late in the first half with a right calf injury, and the team ruled him out for the remainder of the game.

Goodwin left with 1:24 remaining in the second quarter after appearing to limp toward the locker room. He did not return after halftime, leaving Phoenix without one of its regular contributors off the bench.

The Suns reporter for The Arizona Republic, Duane Rankin, reported on X, formerly Twitter.

"Jordan Goodwin (left calf) OUT rest of game. #Suns," he wrote.

The 28-year-old finished with four points, two rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 10 minutes. His exit came during a stretch when Golden State was cutting into Phoenix's lead. The Suns had been ahead by as many as 17 points before the Warriors mounted a 12-0 run late in the half.

The injury is an unwelcome development for Goodwin, who has already dealt with a calf problem during his time in Phoenix. He injured his opposite calf five minutes into Game 1 of the Suns' playoff series against the Oklahoma City Thunder last season and missed the remainder of the game.

Phoenix brought him back this offseason with a three-year, $19 million contract after he became a regular part of the rotation. Goodwin started 10 of his 70 appearances last season, averaging 8.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in 22.5 minutes per game.
