‘Matter of days’ – Harry Kane shares Bayern contract update

Harry Kane has made everyone at Bayern Munich proud by winning the prestigious 2026 Ballon d'Or last week.

The 33-year-old joined Bayern in the summer of 2023, and he has been simply phenomenal for the Bavarian giants.

Kane has scored 156 goals in 160 games across all competitions, and he is showing no signs of slowing down.

The striker scored 61 goals across all competitions for Bayern, but his contribution to the side goes beyond goals and assists.

Kane drops deep and often acts as a playmaker. Against Borussia Dortmund, he even dropped too deep to act as a defender, making some good clearances.

He has already scored 10 goals across all competitions, and he is invaluable to the Bayern side.

The former Tottenham Hotspur striker has repeatedly suggested that he is enjoying his life in Germany and wants to win more trophies with Bayern.

Kane has a contract at the German club until the end of the season. The striker has confirmed that his deal will be signed in a "matter of days".

The striker said to the reporters : "I'd say it's a matter of days. There's been a good conversation over this weekend, and today as well, so yeah, I know I keep saying we're close, but we are extremely close now, details are just details in every contract.

"A lot of the bigger stuff has been ironed out, and we're happy with, but in every contract there's loads of little things that go into it, and small details that in the end the lawyers have to figure out. So yeah, all in all, I'd say it's more days than weeks. The conversations have gone well again today, and hopefully we'll be in a place to do something within the next few days."

Christian Falk has exclusively told CFBayern Insider that Kane's contract will not have any release clause, which can be activated by specific clubs.

Kane will sign a new contract until 2029. Talks are progressing smoothly and only minor details are left to be ironed out.

Falk said : "It is NOT TRUE: Harry Kane will get a release clause in his new contract that can be activated by specific clubs. There are final details to clear – that's what we've been hearing from Bayern Munich. But the two parties are in total agreement otherwise; Kane will sign a new contract until 2029.

"There are small details and clauses to be cleared but things are accelerating now. Before the Ballon d'Or ceremony in London, Bayern were always asking, 'Could we talk about the contract?' And the answer was always that Kane was focusing on the ceremony. I'm now hearing that there could be talks next week, and from there we could hear about a new contract being signed very soon."
