Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Jude Gallagher has beaten Slovakia's Maksym Bocarov by unanimous decision in the European Boxing Championships.
The Newtownstewart native claimed a comfortable victory in the 60kg category and will now face France's Lounes Hamraoi in the last 16 on Monday.
Gallagher is the second member of the 14-strong Team Ireland to win in Sofia after Commonwealth gold medallist Jon McConnell also won by unanimous decision when he faced Turkey's Necat Ekinci on Thursday.
Fellow Irish boxer Dean Clancy is set to take on Mohamed Siala of Germany at 65kg on Friday (16:00 BST).
