While the Vikings avoided one key injury to their offense coming out of Sunday's game, they did suffer a likely season-ending injury elsewhere.

Star receiver Justin Jefferson had just two catches for 32 yards in the Vikings' 23-16 win over the Bucs on Sunday. Jefferson didn't take the field after the team's first series and eventually went to the locker room midway through the second quarter. He was ruled out by halftime with an ankle injury.

Fortunately, the Vikings got some positive news on that front on Monday.

"I did get some good news on Justin (Jefferson), from a standpoint of it's an ankle sprain," head coach Kevin O'Connell announced on Monday. "Avoided anything long-term. It's just going to be about progressing throughout the week and where we can get him to, in the standpoint of can we get the swelling out and what kind of work week he can have. But was very encouraged to get that news today."

Per insider Ian Rapoport, Jefferson has a chance to play on Sunday against the Dolphins.
