Bayern Munich execs met with Pep Guardiola last week

Bayern Munich executives Uli Hoeneß and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge had a dinner with Pep Guardiola, according to Sport Bild, as captured by @iMiaSanMia :

Last Monday, Uli Hoeneß and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge met with Pep Guardiola over dinner in Munich. Guardiola had an appointment with his sponsor Puma in Herzogenaurach and used the chance to make a brief visit to his former home. Pep maintains a very good relationship with Bayern bosses

The former Bayern coach is freshly retired from Manchester City , just as the Premier League club has been rocked by the prospect of upcoming sanctions over its financial operations.

The setting appears to be purely social, though that did not stop Bild from making an inquiry. Reportedly, Guardiola himself requested that current Bayern coach Vincent Kompany — a former player of his at City — join the dinner as well, but Kompany was out of town.

Hoeneß gave a quote to Bild: "It's true that we met. Pep, Karl-Heinz and I share a very close friendship. We had a wonderful evening. We will gladly reschedule the meal with Vincent and Pep at the next opportunity."
