IND vs WI Live Score, 1st T20I: Axar Patel takes final wicket, West Indies bowled out for 171; India need 172

Let's hear from Sherfane Rutherford - Sherfane says that when he scores runs for the national side, he feels good, but reckons that he could have done more, and hopes that he's done enough. He adds that the wicket isn't a 200-run wicket, and they were trying to reach 190, and there is plenty of purchase for the spinners and the slower balls. On the batting, Rutherford says that when he came in, he tried to build a partnership with Shai Hope and allow someone like Romario Shepherd to come in later and do some damage, but unfortunately that didn't happen. On the track turning more than expected, he says that indeed there was more turn, unlike in the IPL, and Naman Dhir bowled a few good deliveries to him.. Runs left behind - After being asked to bat first, West Indies began with promise before India hit back towards the end of the Powerplay. The recovery came through Shai Hope and Sherfane Rutherford, and things were looking good for the tourists at the halfway mark. But Hope's departure triggered a collapse, with Kuldeep Yadav and Naman Dhir playing a key role as India chipped away at the wickets. Having slipped to 135/8 from 107/3, West Indies needed someone to counter-attack, and Sherfane Rutherford did exactly that, adding some vital late runs. Ideally, though, the visitors would have wanted him to bat through, which could have given them a chance to get close to 190.. Windies bowled out for 171 - A couple of fifties but not much beyond that for the tourists and, at the end of the innings, they have ended up with what looks like a middling total. India will be reasonably happy with their effort with the ball, but after having West Indies at 135/8, they would have ideally liked to be more clinical in closing out the innings..West Indies vs India Live Score : 171/10 (19.1 overs) 19.1: Axar Patel to Akeal Hosein, OUT!
