Ailin Perez has revealed a private Instagram message she says came from Norma Dumont after their UFC Vegas 121 fight, adding another chapter to their long-running feud. Perez showed the message during an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, where she said Dumont told her she would “hit” her again when they met. The message came after Perez beat Dumont by unanimous decision in the co-main event on September 26. All three judges scored the fight 29-28 for Perez. Dumont strongly disputed the result and later said she did not accept the decision.Ailin Perez shows Norma Dumont’s Instagram message after UFC Vegas 121Speaking through a translator, Perez explained why she shared the DM and said the rivalry between the two fighters had not ended with the final bell.“We don’t like each other,” Perez said through a translator. “We are not friends. We are never going to be friends. Funnily enough, after the fight, she actually wrote to me personally on Instagram, and she actually told me that after the fight, she was going to find me and beat the s*** out of me.“She’s looking for it right now. Here’s the message: ‘I have already hit you once, and I’m going to hit you once again when I see you. You already know that you didn’t win. Wink.’”The message refers to a previous incident between the two fighters, although the exact details of that alleged incident have not been independently established. Perez has previously said Dumont acted as if she wanted to attack her when they crossed paths at the UFC Performance Institute.“Every single time she sees me at the PI, she tries to look at me like she’s going to hit me,” Perez added. “Even when we were in the locker room, and we ran into each other while I was by myself, she would do things to make me think that she’s about to attack me, but she never does. But usually, she’s like that when she’s around her female friends, like the girls she has around her.”Perez also said Dumont had posted an angry message before their fight.“Before the fight, she posted a story, and Norma wrote in Portuguese, ‘F*** you,” Perez added further.Norma Dumont rejects Ailin Perez’s UFC Vegas 121 winThe tension was already high before the fight, and the result made it worse. Perez won despite Dumont landing more significant strikes overall. Fight statistics show Dumont landed 46 significant strikes to Perez’s 37, while both fighters had one takedown. Perez, however, had 3:41 of control time compared with Dumont’s 0:40.Dumont did not hide her anger after the scorecards were announced. In a statement posted on Instagram, she questioned the decision and said she believed she had won the second and third rounds.“Guys, the fight just ended, and for me, it was one of the biggest absurdities I’ve ever seen in MMA,” Dumont said in Portuguese on Instagram. “For me, the second round was clear, and in the third, the Argentine did nothing. She went to the hospital to get her head checked because of how f**ked up she is.”“She did nothing in the third round. Nothing, and she knows it. I was knocking her around and talking to her. I was hitting her and talking to her, and she was desperate. I was well aware that I won the second round without a shadow of a doubt. It was one of the biggest absurdities I’ve ever seen in MMA, and in all sincerity, I do not accept this.”The official result, however, stands as a unanimous decision win for Perez.Stay updated with the latest Asian Games 2026 news, check the Asian Games medal tally and complete Asian Games schedule.Get the latest Sports News and Live updates.
