Kristaps Porziņģis is reportedly not being paid any of his $20 million salary by the Golden State Warriors since he is not playing, according to ESPN's Shams Charania and Anthony Slater .

Porziņģis, who is away from the team as he deals with recurring POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) symptoms, remains in play as the Warriors seek to move the 31-year-old forward before the Feb. 11 NBA trade deadline as they continue not paying him.

There are reportedly no plans for the Warriors to void Porziņģis' contract and the player is not disputing the lack of payments. He signed a two-year, $40 million contract in the summer with only $3 million guaranteed in the second season of the deal.

According to Bobby Marks , the decision is costing Porziņģis $218,341 per game.

Porziņģis released a statement last month saying that he was working with doctors to find a way back to better health after Charania reported the veteran was contemplating his future.

According to Cleveland Clinic , "POTS is a condition that causes your heart to beat faster than normal when you go from sitting or lying down to standing up." Symptoms can vary widely from patient to patient, but Porziņģis' seem more respiratory and fatigue-related.

POTS significantly limited the 7-foot-2 Porziņģis during the 2024-25 Eastern Conference semifinals against the New York Knicks, when he was with the Boston Celtics.

Porziņģis averaged just 15.5 minutes in that six-game series, which ended Boston's NBA title defense, with Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla revealing after Game 5 that Porziņģis didn't play the second half because " he couldn't breathe ."

Over his 10-year career, Porziņģis has played 533 games and has averaged 19.5 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game.

Last season, he split time between the Atlanta Hawks and the Warriors, appearing in 32 games, the fewest he's played in a season in his career, outside of the missed 2018-19 campaign.
