Shaquille O'Neal has made a major admission about Scottie Pippen's stint with the Chicago Bulls.
Drafted by the franchise in 1987, Pippen became a key piece in the Bulls' dominance in the 90s. He played second fiddle to Michael Jordan but had big responsibilities, which included guarding the best player on the opposing team.
Pippen was alongside Jordan in all six of his championship runs, and many recognise him as one of the greatest second options to ever play in the NBA.
Many rate his achievements immensely high, and while talking about Pippen on The Rushmore podcast, Ari Emanuel had nothing but praise for the Hall of Famer.
He even went as far as saying that Pippen was the greatest small forward to ever play the game, ironically right in front of Kevin Durant, who also plays the same position.
It was then that O'Neal had to jump in and make a strong point about Pippen. The four-time NBA champion said: "Michael got six and Scottie was along the ride."
Durant was also not in agreement with Emanuel's greatest SF comment about Pippen. The 38-year-old picked LeBron James as one of the players who was better than Pippen.
Now Durant and O'Neal both agreed that Pippen was a great player, but it was the greatest SF comment that seemed to bother them.
Although he has six rings to his name, LeBron James has so much more on his resume to clearly run away with the title of the greatest SF of all time.
As far as his importance to the Bulls is concerned, there is no doubt the dynasty would not have been as successful as it was without Pippen. Before his arrival in the league, Jordan had been swept twice in the playoffs and had won only one game, which shows how much he relied on Pippen.
