Kentavious Caldwell-Pope says the Philadelphia 76ers are ready to hand Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks their first defeat since Game 3 of the 2026 NBA Finals.

"My team, we want to start off great as well," Caldwell-Pope told reporters ahead of Tuesday's Opening Night matchup between the Knicks and Sixers at Madison Square Garden (h/t New York Daily News ' Kristian Winfield). "So, if it's their ring night, they've got to take the first loss."

It has been four months since Jalen Brunson led the Knicks to a Game 5 win over the San Antonio Spurs to secure the franchise's first title since 1973.

The Knicks are celebrating ahead of Tuesday night's matchup with a championship ceremony hosted by play-by-play announcer Mike Breen and featuring a video narrated by Ben Stiller, the New York Post 's Stefan Bondy reported.

The team will also raise their banner and distribute rings to members of the championship team.

The ring ceremony is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET. LeBron James and Jaylen Brown are set to make their Sixers regular-season debuts when the 2026-27 campaign tips off at 7 p.m. ET in Manhattan.
