Former NBA Star Blake Griffin Set to Host Weekly Late Night Show, Details Revealed

Former NBA star Blake Griffin will be hosting a new weekly late-night television show.

According to Steven Zeitchik of the Hollywood Reporter , Griffin is launching a live-studio show titled The Stepback with Blake Griffin on Prime Video and YouTube.

Per Zeitchik, Griffin will sit behind a desk and discuss topics such as gambling, NIL, taxpayer-funded stadiums and analytics.

The first episode will drop on Oct. 20 with a new one releasing every Tuesday afterwards.

Griffin currently serves as an analyst for Prime Video's NBA coverage, but has done stand-up comedy on multiple occasions .

He discussed the inspiration for his new show.

"I've watched and idolized shows like The Daily Show and Last Week Tonight , so to follow in their footsteps while putting my own stamp on the genre is an amazing opportunity that I'm grateful to take part in," Griffin said, per Zeitchik.

The 37-year-old previously played in the NBA from 2010-23 and spent time with the Los Angeles Clippers, Detroit Pistons, Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics. Griffin earned six All-Star nods and five All-NBA selections to go along with a Rookie of the Year award during his career.
