Joel Embiid Drops Hilarious Quote After Viral Video of Huge Dunk in 76ers Preseason Game

Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid surprised himself by dunking in Friday preseason action again the Boston Celtics.

"I guess it's good to dunk. I thought I would never dunk again. I guess, I don't know what happened. I kind of got possessed," Embiid told reporters Friday (h/t Sixers Wire's Ky Carlin).

Embiid, who has missed significant stretches of his career due to knee injuries, joked two weeks ago he had made "probably the last dunk of my career" in a Sixers team scrimmage.

The 76ers wrapped up their exhibition slate with Friday night's overtime loss to the Celtics. Embiid will now prepare to open his 11th regular season with the Sixers in a Tuesday away game against the defending champion New York Knicks.
