Given his passion for the beverage, Philadelphia 76ers star LeBron James had to taste for himself what kind of wines are on offer at Xfinity Mobile Arena.

During Monday's 126-107 win over the Chicago Bulls, James bumped into a fan behind the basket who was holding a cup of red. The 22-time All-Star decided to take a sip:

James told reporters after the game he "wanted to see if it was worth it on my arm and how good it was." His endorsement didn't sound totally convincing:

ESPN's Kris Rhim interviewed the fan, Troy Clemons, who said he wasn't upset to have some of his wine wind up on his shirt. Clemons didn't keep the plastic cup as a keepsake, either.

In terms of his NBA legacy, there isn't much James can achieve at this point that will change the minds of fans. They've already formed their opinions of him and where he stands among the greats.

The 41-year-old is at least finding new ways to entertain people in Year 24.
