Phoenix Suns wing Dillon Brooks commented on the dust-up with Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green on Monday night that resulted in Green's ejection.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Brooks said, "I was just trying to de-escalate it. He was just tweaking all game."

During the third quarter of Golden State's 116-113 win over Phoenix, Green hit the deck after contact from Suns center Khaman Maluach.

Green popped right back up to his feet, grabbed Maluach and threw him down to the court. Brooks ran in to confront Green, at which point Green grabbed Brooks by the jersey before getting pulled away.

Draymond was assessed a pair of technical fouls, resulting in his ejection from the game.

The Warriors were trailing by 10 points at the time of Green's ejection, but they rallied to win the game behind Stephen Curry's 34 points.

Curry suggested that Green helped inspire the comeback, telling reporters , "He lit a fire in all of us. We had to respond. I'm glad we did."

Golden State has now won five games in a row following an 0-3 start, while Phoenix is in the midst of a three-game losing streak, bringing its overall record to 1-4.

The Warriors and Suns are not scheduled to meet again until a few days after Christmas on Dec. 28.
