Philadelphia 76ers star LeBron James will miss Saturday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Sixers announced James will sit out for sciatica and lower back injury management.
Saturday's game is the front end of a back-to-back. Philadelphia will host the Detroit Pistons on Sunday.
James has opened his Sixers account averaging 15.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists in wins against the New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers.
Forward Dean Wade, who missed the Sixers' first two games with an ankle injury, remains questionable to play against the Bucks.
Before the start of the 2026-27 campaign, it was revealed that James was receiving "special attention" for his left foot and lower back because of past issues. Considering his age and importance to this Sixers team, it isn't much of a surprise that the Sixers already have him on a maintenance plan.
The Sixers will look to improve to 3-0 when things tip off Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
