Milwaukee Bucks: LeBron James set to miss game for Philadelphia 76ers

There was a time, not too long ago, when the Milwaukee Bucks playing against whatever team LeBron James played for was nationally televised. Indeed, watching the NBA's all-time leading scorer take on Giannis and the Bucks always made for an entertaining matchup.

Unfortunately, times change. Giannis now plays for the Miami Heat, the Bucks are in the beginning stages of a rebuild, and LeBron is in his 24th season in the NBA and playing for the Philadelphia 76ers.

However, he will not be playing against Milwaukee on Saturday night.

The Milwaukee Bucks will not face LeBron James on Saturday

Due to the fact that the Milwaukee Brewers are in their first World Series in 44 years, the Bucks have understandably taken a backseat to the city's baseball team. Given the fact that they are in a rebuild and Giannis gone, not many fans have much interest in the team anyway.

That being said, the Bucks organization has embraced their new identity. They moved their home opener, originally scheduled for Friday night, to Friday afternoon. What is more, several Bucks players, and head coach Taylor Jenkins, went to Game One of the World Series to support the Brewers.

Soon after, Milwaukee's NBA team flew out to Philadelphia where they will face the 76ers on Saturday night. However, they will not be facing LeBron:

Milwaukee, 0-2, is looking for their first win of the season after falling to the Chicago Bulls 132-125 on Friday night. Philadelphia, meanwhile, is 2-0 and begins the first night of a back-to-back when they face the Bucks.

LeBron is averaging 15.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game through his first two games in a 76ers uniform.

The Bucks have a clean injury report with all 15 rostered players available.
