Michigan State basketball center Anton Bonke joins Dutch National Team
A key member of the 2026-27 MSU basketball team is set to get some important experience in the World Cup Qualifiers
One extremely important member of the 2026-27 Michigan State basketball team is about to get some invaluable experience at the international level. Anton Bonke , the Spartans' new center who transferred to the program from Charlotte, will join the Dutch National Team heading into the World Cup Qualifiers. Bonke was born in the Netherlands.
Bonke started his collegiate career at Providence before transferring to Charlotte. At 7-foot-2 with some ability to space the floor, Bonke is an intriguing prospect, so you can be sure that NBA and EuroLeague scouts will be watching Bonke closely as he gets to play some high-level competition abroad.
The Netherlands next play on Thursday against Germany and they play Croatia on Sunday. Bonke averaged 10.6 points and 8.3 rebounds per game last year for Charlotte and hit 34.2 percent of his threes.
